US ARMY M1912 WWI Calvery Medical And Ration Bag 1918. Very Rare. :

This bag is called a US Army M1912 cavalry ration pack. It can be used as a backpack or be separated into two components that were intended to be used as saddlebags. This pack never saw extended use for its original purpose, but it was issued to medics during World War I to carry their equipment. After World War I, these bags ceased to be issued. This is probably one of the last ones made as it is dated November 1918, the very month World War I ended. It is in very good condition for an item of its age.
