The Merc' with a Mouth - DEADPOOL - is on his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe thanks to this summer's Deadpool and Wolverine from Marvel Studios, and because fans love Ryan Reynold's Deadpool and Hugh Jackman's WOLVERINE, not to mention SECRET WARS on the horizon, neither hero is likely going to go away anytime soon. Or at least, a temporary one.That certainty has turned all eyes to Marvel Comics' UNCANNY AVENGERS #1 (2015), the third incarnation of the series that features a mixed Human/Mutant team of Avengers formed by STEVE ROGERS to confront the evils that threaten them both. Writer GERRY DUGGAN and artist RYAN STEGMAN bring Deadpool into the mix, marking the character's very first adventure - thus, FIRST APPEARANCE -- as a real member of an Avengers-named team.
Deadpool also features on three (3) of the series' covers: the regular wraparound cover by Ryan Stegman, the Hip-Hop Variant cover, and the RETAILER INCENTIVE 1:50 VARIANT COVER by superstar J. SCOTT CAMPBELL. For Campbell cover art collectors, it's a Must-Have -- and it's been one since Uncanny Avengers #1 (Vol 3) debuted back in 2015, nearly 10 years ago.
