. Live collected by trawling in 80 meters of water, Mergul Islands, Myanmar, (Burma) 2018. Just next to Java and Indonesia, it's no surprise that fantastic shells are coming from Burma too! The Indonesian/Burma/Thailand area used to be so remote---millions of small uninhabited islands spread over hundreds of thousands of miles of ocean---well, it just wasn't easy to go shell collecting there. But now? One tourist destination after another, along with the locals becoming good at finding what nobody knew was there, has created a region where some of the most awesome and gorgeous shells of the world, shells like this one, are found,and man am I glad about that!

. And as the video shows,this breathtaking,glassy, very near-GEM specimen with an awesome pattern, (some nivosa cowries are downright ugly!)is a wonderfullygorgeous beauty that will lookterrificsitting on your shelf!

(PS---for some reason, does not recognize Burma or Myanmar as a country, so had to leave the country found at blank. Not sure why, but strange...)

As for normal disclaimers, we do the best we can with photos, but color is tricky, especially since cell phone cameras automatically lean towards flesh-tone coloring, (that's why so many of the photos of shells on show up with more orange than is really there, the camera changes the color, and damm if I can figure out how to stop that from happening, but I try, honest!
