The second U.S.S. PENNSYLVANIA (ACR/CA-4) also referred to as Armored Cruiser No. 4 and later renamed PITTSBURGH, was a U.S. Navy armored cruiser, the lead ship of her class. She was originally assigned the name NBRASKA, but was renamed PENNSYLVANIA on 7 March 1901.
Built at William Cramp & Sons, Philadelphia, Pa and launched 22 Aug. 1903. Commissioned 9 March 1905. Se was a 13,680 long tons ship with length of 504\' and beam of 69.6\' and draft of 24.1\'. Two-x screws, 22. knots.Complement of 80 officers and 745 enlisted 64 Marines.
Renamed PENNSYLVANIA 7 March 1901.PITTSBURGH, 27 Aug. 1912.
