Round 6 Lever To Add to Your Collection of Antique A lot of two nice antique steel padlocks made by Slaymaker of Lancaster Pennsylvania. The first Slaymaker padlock is a bronzed steel lock with a brassy appearance and is marked \"Steel State Six Lever\" on the body and \"Slaymaker Lancaster PA\" on the shackle. The second lock is round and dark brown in color and is marked \"Slaymnaker 6 Lever\" on the front and has the Slaymaker mark consisting of an \"S\" with an arrow through it and the words \"Pat Apld For\" under it on the back. The shackle has the number \"6\" stamped on it. Both locks are without keys and are closed. They are both in vintage used condition and show signs of wear and some spots of rust. Both locks are great looking, would most likely work if you can find a key for them and would make a great addition to your collection of antique padlocks. Please carefully view photos as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: Uncertain but most likely both locks are from the late 1800s to early 1900s.Origin: Purchased in an estate sale in Southeast Pennsylvania, USA.Size: The Steel State lock measures ~3 1/16\" high x ~2\" wide x 3/8\" deep and weighs a little over 5 ounces. The 6 Lever lock measures ~3\" high x ~2\" wide x ~5/8\" deep and weighs about 5 ounces. Maker: Slaymaker Lock Company.Marks: One lock is marked \"Steel State Six Lever\" on the body and \"Slaymaker Lancaster PA\" on the shackle. The second padlock is marked \"Slaymnaker 6 Lever\" on the front and has the Slaymaker mark consisting of an \"S\" with an arrow through it and the words \"Pat Apld For\" under it on the back.Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: Two nice antique steel padlocks to add to your collection of old locks.Condition: Both locks are missing their keys. Both locks are all there without breaks or repairs. They both have scratches and soiling, but still look great. They both have general wear, some rust spots, and nicks to the surface commensurate with their age and utilitarian function. They are both in vintage used condition and show signs of wear and some spots of rust. We assume that one can find keys for these locks, but we leave that to the new owner. We are selling these locks as found without the benefit of keys. A nice pair of old locks to add to your collection of antique locks.
