This trilobite,Metacanthina issoumourensis, comes from Morocco. It is from the Devonian and was found in the Laghdad Formation in the Mhrach Taouz region.Metacanthina,is often labelled as Hollardops, but the two are separate and distinct.

The fossil measures 2.1 inches long ( if flattened- it is in a 'flight' position)and 1.2 inches wide. The entire specimen (trilobite and matrix) measures 2.33 inches long, 3.0 inches wide and 1.65 inches high. Extremely well-preserved Schizochroal lenses are present in both eyes.

There is a repair going the tip of the right genal spine. In the trilobite -collecting world this is not a detriment. Trilobites are found by smashing open rocks and the specimens often get broken as a result. It is rare to find an entire, unbroken trilobite. And if one is found, they usually are sold for a premium amount. Many sellers do not disclose their fossils have been repaired as the repair is often very well done, and virtually undetectable. I believe in full disclosure.
