This vintage tree skirt and matching mantel cover are exquisite. The brocade fabric is beautiful in color and pattern and the linen lining emphasizes the quality. The trims and tassels are the perfect attention to detail. There are no stains and as a vintage piece it is a set in great condition. I could find no damage or stains. Our home is a smoke free zone for everyone (even loved guests). This set was purchased at Neiman Marcus and also sold at Horchow for $585. The tree skirt has a diameter of 52”. The tricky part is the opening. In a tight closed position it is 5” diameter. Of course it opens wider but works best if placed around trunk of Christmas tree and not the stand. I used it around the trunk and draped. The mantel piece has so many uses even if your home does not have a fireplace. It measures 90” in length and is 16” inches at widest drop. This does not include the various trims. It makes a dramatic runner for any table.
I wish I had my Christmas up to properly photograph this set. I will try to add photos to do justice to the beauty of these two pieces.
