Life Is Like a Cup of Tea, Its All In How You Make It. Start Your Day With a Perfect Cup of Matcha!

Did you know the best kept secret about making a tasty cup of matcha?

It's hidden in a matcha tea bowl. All - the shape, the size, the weight and the materials, the tea cup is made of, matter greatly. That's why choosing the right kind of matcha chawan can be a difference between the lumpy choir and effortless matcha making experience.

The bowls that have wide opening, but visible smaller bottom diameter are used for rice. Whipping green tea powder in such bowls is difficult due to restricted hand movement. The correct and easiest way to prepare your frothy matcha tea is to use a traditional wide cylinder like shape - same diameter at the top and at the bottom. This allows you to move your wrist in quick zig zag motion rather than forwards and backwards - just like Japanese do while preparing matcha tea in ceremonies.

Our Japanese inspired, created with a help of experienced craft masters, custom made matcha tea bowls have traditional Han-Tsutsu-Gata shape, large enough diameter to effortlessly move your wrist, nice weight to it for added stability. They are crafted from highest grade porcelain ceramics which is known for its durability and high temperature resistance.

We want you to have the best matcha experience and the easiest and pleasant preparation every time.

***Please be informed that matcha tea is not supposed to be prepared with boiling water. Therefore, matcha cups are never designed to be heat proof. The general advice is that you should pour water at 160F (70C) maximum temperature and then whisk the tea to frothy foam before drinking - this lowers tea temperature even more.

For Those Who Appreciate Quality and Minimalism

For Effortless Matcha Preparation

Our authentic Han-Tsutsu-Gata, meaning half cylinder in Japanese, style chawan allows your hand to whisk in fast and light zig zag motion without tiring out the wrist and leaving lumps of matcha on the bottom. Enjoy a healthy cup of matcha traditional and easy way.

Why Should You Just Give It A Try?

Because your satisfaction means the world to us!

As matcha tea aficionados and Japanese culture lovers ourselves, we were very excited to create a perfect matcha bowl. What started with an idea and simple drawing, became a beautiful partnership among us and ceramic craft masters. Together we went through many shapes, discussed different designs, developed samples, tested them and improved. We are very proud to say that these matcha bowls are not only exceptional, but also have a tiny bit of our hearts in each of them.

We wish you frothiest matcha lattes!
