Volkswagen sold us on that idea back in the 1960\'s, and if you check out all of my listings this week, I\'m pretty sure you\'ll agree that I can make a compelling case for it again in 2024.
Here\'s an outstanding, all-original Regina top-wind disc music box with a 12\" x 10\" x 8\" oak cabinet and five 8 1/2\" discs. This was one of Regina\'s smallest music boxes, but its sound quality is exceptional, as you can hear in the video below.Bright, resonant, dynamic.
Condition is excellent. The movement and its cabinet are original throughout, and the lid artwork is original too. The spring is strong, the governor is quiet, the parts are clean (some tarnish and pitting, but nothing excessive), and the mechanism is working properly. No broken or damaged teeth.
Discs play through as they should, with no thumping, no pitch irregularities, no extraneous noises.
Blonde oak cabinet is original to the music box and in excellent condition, as you use can see in the pictures. Original finish is smooth to the touch, and the patina is gorgeous. Original small hardware and fittings, and the latch is working properly. Original crank, and the crank retains its original handle.
A beautiful instrument in all respects.
