Experience the excitement of classic comic book action with The Marvel Family #9 from March 1947. This rare single issue features the iconic superhero TEAM, THE MARVEL FAMILY (Captain Marvel, Captain Marvel Jr., and Mary Marvel) as they face off the last of the Vikings.It was published by Fawcett Comics in September of 1947. The Marvel Family has been in numerous television shows and feature films throughout the years. Currently, they are part of the DC Comics Universe and recently were in the "Shazam! movies." However when this comic was released, Fawcett was a direct competitor of DC Comics. It would be many years and lawsuits later before they were united.
This pre-code first printing is mylar bagged and boarded making it a must-have for any collector of vintage US comics.
The cover depicts a famous and iconic pose of all three golden-age heroes heroes in mid-flight as drawn by legendary artist C.C. Beck. The issue was written by Otto Binder.

Specifics:The cover has some slight staining and what appears to be a pencilled set of initials. There is a small purple stain at the binding. Both staples are in good shape and intact. There seems to be a small triangular clip at the bottom center of the cover, which is attached but looks tentative.
The back cover has some chipping on the outer edge.
The interior pages are clean, supple and white with some slight discoloration appropriate to a comic of this age. The centerfold is complete, but detached.
The book itself is tight and flat and presents great! Don't miss your chance to add this rare piece of comic book history to your collection!
