A copy of the 22nd edition of THE MAD READER from Ballantine Books. Originally published in 1965, this is the 22nd printing from 1973. It is in nice shape.
This collection, with an introduction by humorist Roger Price features classic Mad Magazine stories reformatted for the paperback spreads, with stories like STARCHIE, and SUPERDUPERMAN and GASOLINE VALLEY by classic MAD MAGAZINE artists and writers like HARVEY KURTZMAN, JACK DAVIS, WALLY WOOD, WILL ELDER, and while the printing is for spit, the format became a monster series for Mad reprints and new material in the late \'60s and \'70s. There is a bookstore stamp on page one from Rodden\'s Bookshop, in Long Beach, CA.
CONDITION NOTES:
FN. The book is in really nice shape. Flat and clean, with tight binding. There are some creases and a few dings, which you can see in the photos. The binding is very tight and the pages are lightly yellowed.Check out the photos!(Grading is based on a careful examination of the flaws.)
