Unlike many western stars, Tim Holt never played himself, as did others like Gene Autry and Roy Rogers – he was a cowboy actor. In the comics it ended up being the same way because early on Tim Holt donned a costume and became The Red Mask --- and the bulk of his comic collection is as that heroic character.
