Thai Buddhist amulets are the pearl strings of historical legacy that connects Buddhism as practiced by most Thais today to the time Buddhism first arrived in pre-Thai kingdoms during the 3rd Century BC. For more than two millenniums, Buddhism in Thai society has interwoven with aspects of inherited folk religious practices, including folk magic and the creation of talismans and charms. Practicing monks over the centuries have incorporated this folk tradition into their faith, and to this day, Thai Buddhist amulets have been created. The amulet on offer today is PHRA AJARN TEELEK "CHANACHAI" Khao Sunamo Meditation Center (BE 2554) copper pendant from 2011.

HISTORICAL TRADITION

Provost Samutnimit (Phra Ajahn Teelek Panyasaro) is a respected Phetchabun monk who has studied under many highly revered ordained teachers. He is highly regarded when it comes to magic and consecrating sacred objects that brings wealth and other great fortunes. This PHRA AJARN TEELEK "CHANACHAI" medallion pendant was made in 2011, one of only 5,000 pieces produced, to mark the occasion that Phra Ajarn Tee Lek was promoted to the rank of Phrakhru Samuhpimit Panyasaro. These amulets were given out to monks, soldiers, police and security personnel in the often-unrest southern border of Thailand, so they may be protected from danger.

During the Kathina and Phuttha Phisek ceremony in 2012, where many soldiers and police officers attended, a faith demonstrations was carried out where four firearms were discharged, aimed at the likeness and amulet of Phra Ajahn Teelek. Miriculously, all four guns misfired, with their bullets lodged inside the barrel, unable to leave the nozel. A video of this event still exists on YouTube ( ). Devout followers of Phra Ajahn Teelek believe this was due to the magical power of this amulet. The 1st Edition of this amulet from 2009 has already reached a local market value of 1 million Baht.

Throughout the centuries, Thai Buddhist amulets are considered by many as very powerful tools to enhance aspects of the owners' lives. Sacred objects consecrated by Phra Ajahn Teelek are held high for their virtues in attracting positive energy, great fortune, and make their owners invulnerable and invincible to harm.

CONDITION
New and unused—never worn nor carried on any person. However, original packaging box that the amulet came in from the temple may have blemishes, small scratches, and/or slight damage due to being stored over am NOT an amulet dealer nor trader. These amulets have been passed down to me by my father, who collected them since the mid-1980s. All were bestowed on him by Buddhist monks or the respective temples that my father had made offerings or donations to. All pieces were obtained from their true origins, and some have been in our family for over 35 years—they are genuine.
