I believe the piece was designed to be used as a cook\'s salt box (salt cellar), but the wooden lid is missing. The piece is still fully functional as decor, a catch-all, a trinket holder, or even a super cute planter! The piece can sit flat on a counter-top, or can be hung on the wall. Cute!!
Very nice pre-owned condition. Shows signs of age but no damage to pottery. Wooden lid is missing, but pottery is fully functional. From a clean, smoke-free, pet-free home.
