This listing is for two original Dougherty Triplicate poker playing cards from 1870s. I pulled these two cards out of a partial deck. They were printed in New York in 1876 by the Andrew Dougherty Playing Card Co. This type of cards was used in Old West saloons!
Triplicate playing cards were an innovative and unique design. They featured two miniature drawings of the playing card in opposing corners. Triplicate cards were made during the brief transition between when cards had no numbers in the corners and when numbers were put in the corners in the early 1880s. This design was very short lived making the cards extremely scarce and valuable today!
These beautiful pair of playing cards will look perfect in your historical display!! This listing is for two cards. You will receive the cards that are pictured.
