Hello, here is a 100% NATURAL and very RARE Mioplosus and TWO! Knightia Fish fossils with neat X-RAY like bones on the mio and SCALES on the Knightia\'s ! All in their 50 Million Year Old Green River Formation Matrix! This fossil plate was quarried in an extinct lake that is known as Fossil Lake in Lincoln County, Wyoming. This fish dates from the Eocene epoch a CRAZY 53.5 to 48.5 Million YEARS ago!
Here\'s More Info....Fifty-million years ago an ancient Lake existed in what is now Southwest Wyoming, US. The unusual chemistry of the lake created conditions that prevented decay while alternating layers of limestone and organic matter accumulated. The resulting laminated limestone LAYERS contain the highest concentration of articulated fish fossils in the world....neat!
