Theatre Arts Monthly was a monthly American publication that ran from 1916 to 1964.Broad in scope and handsomely designed, the publication contained in-depth coverage of every aspect of the theatre-world, and these vintage magazines offer today’s readers a permanent record of American dramatic art in its formative period, introducing dramatic trends and events, and to the emergence of new and important dramatists, directors, playwrights and stage designers of the time. There are also articles on the emerging movie scene and drama in Europe, South America and Russia. Not to mention the wonderful advertisements!
In this issue:
  • In The Spring - Broadway in Review by Edith JR Isaacs
  • The English Scene - Coronation Panorama by Ashley Dukes
  • Additional Dialogue - Scribblers in Hollywood by Morton Eustis
  • An Artist’s Apprenticeship - Chapters from an Autobiography - Part 2 by John Gielgud
  • Chorus of the Wives of the Sons of John Brown by Earl Mohn
