Back in the 1950's I attended North Brae Elementary School, which was near Tanforan. During recess we would hear the track announcer and the horses galloping. Fond memories.
I think Golden Gate Fields in Albany is the only remaining track in the SF Bay Area (maybe others at state fair grounds)
