Next up is a wonderful hollow,polychrome effigy by Anita Lowden. Thereare a few similar that I have seen online that have been described asWeeble-Wobbles, Humpties, or Mothers-in-Law.I bought two of these from Anita at the Indian Market about 1972. Look closely at the images. You will note that this is, in fact,polychrome given the “lipstick”. Otherdetails are of interest; the look of surprise on her face, the jewelry on her fingersand wrists, the neat part in her hair and the wonderful, symmetrical designsfrom the belly on down. Not very visible in the images are the facialsubtleties which are the rising cheeks and the very slight protuberance of the chin. This is a masterful and artful representationof . . .you decide.

As noted, the effigy is hollow. There are some loose somethings inside so whenshaken she rattles.Dimensions are 7-inches high be about 6 ¼-inches wide.

I hate to let this go, butfifty years of enjoyment has been fulfilled.
