This is a stunning mineral specimen of blue linarite from the Earl and Kathryn Burch collection. It was specimen 20B in their collection. Comes with a label. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE SIZE BEFORE offerDING OR BUYING.
\"Earl and Kathryn Burch were avid mineral collectors, field collecting in Arizona and southern California in the late 50\'s and 60\'s. [They acquired] most of their collection in the late 50\'s through the 60\'s and 70\'s. Earl was into crystallography and wrote his own hand illustrated textbook on crystallography to teach classes. His first mineral was Quartz from Brazil he acquired in the early 40\'s when supporting the war effort in the Amazon by setting up radio transmitters to radio in for pickup of rubber. Kathryn\'s favorite mineral was wulfenite and she purchased a good Glove Mine wulfenite from George offereaux for $25 in the early 60\'s. They helped Susie Davis at shows and often took their pay from her in minerals. They were friends with Rock Courier [Currier] and Norm Dawson, collecting at Norm\'s White Queen Mine in Pala. They were members of the Hughes Rock Hounds in Tucson and TGMS, exhibiting at the TGMS show in 1971. After moving from Tucson to California they were active members of Greater Los Angeles Mineralogists, Long Beach Mineral and Gem Society and the Mineralogical Society of Southern California, exhibiting, judging displays and giving mineral lectures. They continued to give mineral presentations well into their 70\'s.\"
