This is what I believe to be a rather rare Smith & Wesson Lake Erie Chin Type Police Riot Control Gas Mask with bag. It also has a MSA Clearvue Facepiece. This gas mask came out of the inventory of an old police station in Eastern Pennsylvania. I also do not see a size with that said I wear a 7-5/8” hat and it fits me comfortably. The old US Army M17 gas masks had the date or year of manufacture on the rubber cover. On this mask the years 69,70,71 are on the back rubber piece of the straps and I believe the mask dates to that time period. As far as the condition is concerned the mask has a protective shield still in place over the face piece and the seals are still on the filter. The filter canister does have some rust other than that it is in really decent overall shape. The bag has holes in it and the strap broke off.
