Annie looks a bit surprised by the photographer, but Charlie\'s got her steadied and she\'ll be fine. He wears a three-piece suit with pocket square and sports a nice mustache. Annie has a lovely shiny dress with asymmetrical bodice, highlighting her small waist. Her hair is in curls atop her head. The Earles have chosen an interesting backdrop that makes them look like they are walking the garden path in front of their own house.On reverse of card is handwritten in ink:

Below image, on front, in copper-colored print, is the photographer\'s monogram \"WCR\" and:\"Ritcher, Gem Gallery, Sioux City, IA.\" There is no back mark.William C. Ritcher is listed in the Sioux City city directory as a photographer from 1889-1892, at two different addresses.Card measures about 6.5 inches x 4.25 inches. Image measures 5.5 x 3.875 inches.
My mother was a photographer who collected antique photos of all types for years. As I am settling her estate, I will be listing these photos as quickly as I am able. There are hundreds of photos to go through, and I am trying to match any information my mother may have left with individual photos. Unfortunately, Mom had dementia at the end of her life and wasn\'t able to tell me much about her collection. She had done a lot of research into photographers and individual pieces in her collection, and often, but not always, filed her research with the photo(s). I search for more information on the internet and in history books, but it\'s a slow process and it will take me a long time to complete the sorting and selling process.
