This is a mid grade item. It will have a few minor defects and will generally appear to be in \"slightly used\" but not \"roughly used\" condition. Most comics, magazines, and books published in the past 30 years that have been read but carefully handled and stored will fall in this grade range. Allowed defects for this grade include: minor corner wear (bends and blunting), a light accumulation of spine wear that may include color-breaking stresses, a light accumulation of dents, and bends or folds less than one quarter inch in length. Some color breaking is allowed in a bend or fold in this grade range.

Description

2007 min-comic reprint of Silver Surfer #1 from 1968, minus the back-up story. Originally came packaged in the Target Exclusive Edition of the Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer DVD. \"The Origin of the Silver Surfer!\" Cameos by the Incredible Hulk, Doctor Doom, and the Fantastic Four. Written by Stan Lee. Art and cover by John Buscema and Joe Sinnott. Many years ago, in order to prevent the total annihilation of his civilization and homeworld, Norrin Radd bargained with the Devourer of Worlds. Imbued with the Power Cosmic, he became the Silver Surfer and Herald of Galactus. However, on the fateful day he arrived on Earth, for love of humanity, he betrayed his master, and thus was cursed to never traverse the space-ways again. This is his story.
