Grade FN+ 6.5 Year 1978 Publisher DC

This is a mid grade item. It will have enough minor defects that it is in clearly worse condition than a brand new freshly published comic, magazine, or book. Allowed defects for this grade include: a spine split of less than half an inch, minor water spotting or other residue, impacted corners, and an accumulation or spine stresses that may break color. An item could be assigned this grade due to either an accumulation of minor defects or one or two moderate defects.

Description

Cover by Steve Ditko. The Gambles!, script by Steve Ditko and Michael Fleisher, art by Steve Ditko; Shade is trapped in the Presidential Palace; Shade relates the story of how he was framed. This series was canceled after this issue, a result of the DC Implosion. The material after this issue was later published in Detective Comics #487 and the Steve Ditko Omnibus. Gerry Conway profile by Michael Catron. 36 pgs., full color. $0.35.
