Set of 4 Beautiful Lyric Stangl Lugged Soup Bowls. In such great condition. The first bowl in the individual picture, does have some spotting and a flake on the very bottom inside surface. All of them have a few flakes and nicks on the edges as shown. Each bowl is individually photographed to show the nicks and flakes. They are really not very noticeable due to the pottery color underneath is the same color as the surface. Interestingly, one bowl is lighter than the others and the white you see on the bottom surface is camera glare. They measure 6" from handle to handle and are approx. 1 3/4" high. The dramatic free-form Lyric motif was designed by Kay Hackett. Lyric was introduced January 18, 1954. and produced in limited quantities through the 1950s More information regarding Stangl's #3896 Lyric pattern can be found on pages 155-156 of the 'Collector's Encyclopedia of Stangl Dinnerware' by Runge.
