This listing is fora striking set of two collector plates entitled \"Miss Kitty and Doc\" and \"Festus and Doc\" by the Franklin Mint. Each of these two beautiful 8-inch fine bone china plates is bordered and individually hand numbered in gold, in excellent condition and they come with the original Certificates of Authenticity. Gunsmoke aired 635 episodes on CBS from 1955 to 1975 and is still one of the longest running primetime television dramas in United States television history. Therole of Miss Kitty was played by Amanda Blake. Miss Kitty was the owner of the Long Branch Saloon, and Gunsmoke fans will remember that she had an ongoing romance with Marshall Dillon.Trusty \"Doc\" Adams was played by Milburn Stone. The stubbornly illiterate Festus was played by Ken Curtis. Festus came to town in an episode entitled \"Us Haggens\" to avenge the death of his twin brother, Fergus. He stayed and in time became Marshal Matt Dillon\'s sidekickand deputy. Eadh of these two plates is very distinctive with bright, sharp images of Miss Kitty, Doc and Festus making this set a perfect gift choice for a Gunsmoke fan or a neat addition to your own collection.
