Compatible with Bluewave, New Wave Enviro, PureAqua, H8O, and LavoHome plastic water bottles, and water jugs that have a 48-400 threaded neck finish.
48mm (48-400) size Cap Dimensions:
- Inner Diameter: 48mm (about 1-7/8\")
- Outer Diameter: 50mm (about 2\")Note: Measurements are taken at the cap’s rim and are approximate.
Unfortunately it is difficult to determine the cap size from the jug’s brand, as some have changed their bottle design over the years.
To find the right cap size for your bottle, the easiest and most reliable method we have found is to simply measure the OD (outer diameter) of your old caps! The 48mm sized caps have an OD of about 2”.
Or, check the water jug\'s label, as it may also specify which cap size is needed.
And note that the jug\'s gallon size does not determine the cap size!
For example, the 48mm caps generally fit on 1, 2, 3, and 5 gallon Bluewave, New Wave Enviro, PureAqua, H8O, and LavoHome brand bottles, and the 53mm caps generally fit on 1, 2, 3, and 5 gallon American Made brand bottles.
Not for use on water dispenser bottles that require snap on caps, such as: Polar Artic, Nestle PureLife, Primo bottles (ones with snap on caps), Ice River, and Glacier.
Not for use on glass jugs.
