Scarce Superb Original WW2 Early Kinfolks M1 Carbine Bayonet & Scabbard:

Offered is an original World War Two production bayonet, together with its original scabbard, manufactured for use with the M1 Carbine rifle. This scarce bayonet is marked KI for manufacture by Kinfolks Inc. Kinfolks was second only to Aerial in producing the least amount of M1 Carbine bayonets. Accordingly, they are quite scarce and very sought after. This is a very early production Kinfolks, as is evidenced by the blued blade and by the 6 groove handle with two leather washers between each groove. This bayonet is offered as pictured with a near mint blade showing almost no loss of its factory blue finish. It also retains its factory edge and tip, having never been sharpened outside of the factory. The guard is tight, as is the grips, which retain their crisp color and feel. It is offered together with its original World War Two issue US M8 scabbard manufactured by B.M.Co.

This bayonet has been in my personal collection for quite some time and while I have owned several Kinfolks bayonets, this is by far and away both the best and the earliest example that I have. It would be exceedingly difficult to upgrade.
