This is the highly sought after HUMAN BE-IN issue of the San Francisco Oracle with the famous Stanley Mouse / Michael Bowen cover art. The back cover art is by Bruce Conner. Includes an advertisement for the FD 43 poster [From Classic Posters, "This gorgeous, early Family Dog poster was designed by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley for a January 13-14, 1967 show at the Avalon Ballroom featuring Moby Grape, Sparrow, and The Charlatans. Interestingly, this poster also advertised in the now-famous Human Be-In on January 14 at Golden Gate Park."]. The amazing centerfold is by the renowned artist Rick Griffin featuring Allen Ginsberg poetry. Another interesting ad on page 9 mentions Dr. Timothy Leary and his psychedelic light show with artists Rudi Stern and Jackie Cassen called "A Death of the Mind", this was originally billed as "Psychedelic Celebration No. 2, The Reincarnation of Jesus Chirst" when Dr. Leary was in New York in November, 1966. Lots of other great history including more poetry, articles, artwork, and advertising. Excellent condition with a bit of toning around the edges, slight bend at corner. No tears. See photos.
