Saks Fifth Avenue Musical Snow Globe NEW YORK CITY Retired
For sale is a Retired Saks Fifth Avenue Musical "Snow" Globe of NEW YORK CITY. The clear dome sits atop an espresso/ebony wooden base with a 1 3/4" diameter air bubble at the top. It "snows" glitter sparkles. Overall measures approx. 6" tall on a 4 1/2" diameter base. The globe plays New York, New York.
This is the first NYC Globe released by Saks Fifth Avenue (there were later releases, one which is larger and includes the Twin Towers). Landmarks included in this globe are: Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, St. Patrick's Cathedral, YellowTaxi, Prometheus sculpture at Rockefeller Center, the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree and the Saks Fifth Avenue Department Store.
The Globe is in excellent condition, see photos.
I purchased this globe new in the late 1990's and it has been in my personal collection since.
