- The medal is highlighted by raised and recessed details.
- On the obverse behind the representation of Jesus there the Benedictine medal that features a cross with prayers, mottoes written in Latinwith some of the many symbols that are associatedwith Saint Benedict.
- The reverse of the cross features the representation of St. Benedict with many symbols that are associated with him.
