Sailor Valentine “Sweet Love”:

The name of this Sailor Valentine is “Sweet Love”. Handcrafted in a 8 inch by 8 inch box made of Mahogany. The center features a heart made of abalone edged with gold cording decorated with miniature flowers.
The heart is on a background of abalone edged with wentletrap shells. A thicker ring of pink,limpets edged with white coffeebean trivia shells encircle the center.
A wreath of flowers follows. The flowers consist of pink operculums, sea urchin spines, gar scales, gooseneck barnacles, rose tellins, tellins, false abalone, janthinas, baby ear shells, apple blossom shells, abalones, fairy tellins and barnacles. Bits of ci]oralized algae are placed between the flowers.
Sweet Love can be hung or displayed on an easel. There is a sturdy hanger on the back. I use shells from all over the world and the finest handmade boxes with the best hardwoods.
I am a juried member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen. My Sailor Valentines have won several awards at the Sanibel Shell Show, Sanibel Island Florida.
