Sadler Vintage 1930\'s to 1950\'s Ceramic Teapot
Art Deco Style
Hand painted and numbered on bottom. Top 1/3 has a two-sided floral design bordered by a textured gold \'beaded\' band. The bottom 2/3 has gold scrolls/squiggles design all over. Solid mirror gold handle and spout with gold rims as well. I do not know if this is gold leaf or just metallic paint. Interior has classic brown glaze. This combined with the rounded shape is typical of a Brown Betty type teapot which retains heat better. Also, as boiling water is poured in, the rounded shape makes loose tea leaves swirl gently around creating a perfect blend. The lid matches the scrollwork design with a gold knob and a vent hole.

There is minimal wear to some of the gold area commiserate with age and use but does not detract from the overall look or use.
