SUB-MARINER # 50 VF/NM 9.0 with off-white pages ! Front cover is ultra- clean and bright white with no stains, smudges, or discoloration, as well as literally perfect corners which are beautifully defined right angles. Cover presents with near newstand quality color and gloss all the way across the entire expanse of its exceptionally smooth and sleekly-defined surface area. And the spine is quite excellent also with just four small, light stress lines which are barely perceptible except under close inspection. Comic is flat with no spine roll or upturn. The inside and back covers are clean and white and bright, with no smudges or discoloration. There is very thin, and barely perceptible \"distributor overspray\" at the very tip- top edge of the inside back cover, an artifact of the original marketing and distribution process back-in-the-day (1972) but not really considered as a defect as it is not wear accumulated over time. Edges of the comic are straight and beautifully defined front and back with no tears or chips out of the margins. In particular, the right edge margin of the front cover is practically perfect structurally, and quite exceptional down its entire length. The centerfold is tight and secure at both internal staple bars which are silver & clean. Compact book with tight binding. And the cover is securely-attached at both staples which are silver and clean, no rust or discoloration. The back cover has a minor 1/4 of an inch crease at the bottom right corner--see photo. Overall structurally exceptional and aesthetically beautiful comic book with a high level of gloss & cleanliness.
