This example of pins designed in the 30's and 40's are why antique/vintage pieces are so sought after! The most amazing feature is the use of convex and concave surfaces.....the wings and tail feathers curve gracefully UPWARD, the neck area is flattened below the raised head....GORGEOUS! All the pave' set rhinestones that accentuate the feather outlines are present with tiny raised metal "dots" between them. And the one green rhinestone eye sparkles! Pin measures a show stopping 2 3/4" horizontally, 2 1/8" vertically, wing-to-wing. Brooch is quite substantial in weight with the solid pot metal backing and clasp works securely.
