This range of tumbler barrelscan be used forstone / rocktumbling onEvans and Beachbrands ofrotatorytumbling machines.

The following options are available:

Plastic barrels(Note - colours of plastic barrels may vary from colour pictured)

Diameter 11.5cm. Length 7.5cm

2 x 1.5lb barrels can be run in unison on a 3lb tumbler - ideal for tumbling more than one load at different stages, at the same time.

Can also be used singly on a 2lb (mini) tumbler.

Diameter 11.5cm. Length 9.7cm

For use on a 2lb (mini) tumbler.

Diameter 11.5cm. Length 14.7cm

For use on a 3lb (junior) tumbler.

Diameter 11.5cm. Length 20.5cm

For use on larger (e.g. Evans 6lb) tumbling machines.

Diameter 11.5cm. Length 27.5cm

For use on larger (e.g. Evans 6lb)tumbling machines.

Suitable for any of the above plastic barrels.

Diameter 11.5cm; height 7.5cm

Two barrels can be run in unison on a 3lb tumbler - ideal for tumbling more than one load at different stages, at the same time.

For use on a 3lb (junior) tumbler.

This rubber barrel is for use on the Beach \'Blue Box\' 5lb tumbler.

Note this barrel is specific to the Beach 5lb model and does not fit Evans tumblers.

Plastic vs Rubber Barrels

Rubberis thepremium optionwhen it comes to tumbler barrels. Rubber barrels run significantly more quietly than plastic barrels, are long lasting and have easy to remove lids. Rubber barrels provide many years – in some cases, a lifetime - of reliable service.

Using double / multiple barrels

Most tumbling machines, provided they are large enough, can be used flexibly with regard to accommodatingmore than one barrel at a time.

The benefit of usingdouble or multiple barrelsis obvious in that this allows the processing of more than one batch of stones (or other product) at the same time and at different stages of a process. As such it is a very efficient use of the energy being generated by the tumbling machine, as well as your time waiting for the tumbler contents to be finessed!

The best rule of thumb is just to ensure that the barrels fit on the machine sufficiently comfortably for them to rotate, and that the maximum weight capacity of the machine is not exceeded.
