Thespacecraft is named after the state in southern India where the country\'s Instituteof Space Science and Technology was created, while the Shepard class was named aftertwentieth-century astronaut Alan Shepard. The detailed U.S.S. Kerala (Shepard Class)model is 21.5 cm long and is based on the original VFX models. It comes with a magazineshowing the profile of the ship and how it was built.
