WORK DONE

The noise of the plane was removed and the cheeks were cut down then the face was lapped to the correct angle. The noise is slightly tapered in to allow it to get into tight places. Body still has original japanning which is in very good condition. Sole was lapped. The cutter is from a Stanley block plane which was reshaped then lapped and sharpened. The lever cap came from a Stanley defiance which I down sized to fit. This is a great working chisel plane that will make a excellent addition to a work shop. These little planes are extremely useful. Instead of machining new parts I prefer to use vintage parts and repurpose them.
