We are both the oldest surviving members of our families. As life-long collectors, and inheritors from those who have Gone Before, we must move on some of our Stuff before that (hopefully far-off) day when it becomes our children’s responsibility. From the clearing sale of “Leuralla” NSW; originally the home of the Evatt family, more recently a small Museum. The postcards come from an Evatt family album. They have been sent from overseas locations during trips taken 1928/9 and later 1930s. Happy to combine.

Miss M Andreas, later to be Mrs C R Evatt, gave a Recitation. Plus a printed copy of a song sung to the tune of Rule Britannia headed SS Cathay Homeward Bound June 9th 1925. One could speculate that this is the A Ballad of Old Cathay which was the Finale to the 24 June concert, probably re-cycled.
