Excellent quality SOG early model S37 SEAL 2000 fighting knife in as-issued unused condition; a discontinued model. Made in Seki, Japan, circa 1995-2007. During trails SEAL 2000 knife had won over 13 other tactical knives during the initial selection process for the USN SEALs use.SEAL 2000 is about 12-3/8\" / 31.3 cm overall; partially serrated blade is about 7\" / 17.8 cm, powder-coated for low reflectivity and corrosion resistance; it is is hardened to Rc. 56-57. Original factory edge is RAZOR-sharp; the tip is intact. Zytel handle for chemical and flame resistance, AUS-6 steel (or 440A) for saltwater resistance, and a tactical jump-rated sheath with the leg tie-down cord. Original nylon sheath is unused as well; this survival knife set is in excellent overall condition. Excellent quality SOG early model S37 SEAL 2000 fighting knife in as-issued unused condition. This discontinued model was manufactured in Seki, Japan, from 1995 to 2007; unused specimens are scarce today. The famous SOG SEAL 2000 - it had won over 13 other tactical knives during the initial selection process to gain the prestigious honor of getting selected for the use by the US Navy SEALs. SOG SEAL 2000 had won over the other knives after a rigorous battery of tests including trials by flame, saltwater, acetylene torch resistance and the hard-core abuse of all sorts. SOG SEAL 2000 is especially popular knife among scuba divers as THE diving knife for its high saltwater resistance and easy-to use large blade.

SEAL 2000 is about 12-3/8\" / 31.3 cm overall; partially serrated blade is about 7\" / 17.8 cm, powder-coated for low reflectivity and corrosion resistance; it is is hardened to Rc. 56-57. This Japan-made model was discontinued in 2007; original MSRP ten years ago was $165. This set is in excellent overall shape; these early Seki-made SOGs are very hard to find in mint condition today. This knife could be a handy back-up for that \"plan B\" scenario, or just a great addition to your collection of vintage SOG blades.
