This is a very nice SET of PATRIOTIC antique postcards from the very early 1900s. They art part of the \"Colonial Heroes\" set that was published by American Historical Art Publishing Co, NY. These are PAINTINGS STYLE postcards and show PRESIDENT GEORGE WASHINGTON in different scenes. These are very attractive and they have GOLD TRIM in the design. Also lots of PATRIOTIC symbols. One has a picture of Martha Washington.

These postcards have UNDIVIDED BACKS, and would have been published in the 1906 era. The back shows the \"Authorized by Act of Congress\" statement that was put on postcards from early 1900. They were \"Printed in Germany\" and are in very good condition.

Postcards with UNDIVIDED BACKS were used from 1901-1907.An undivided back is a good indicator of the age of the postcard and its historical significance.During this time period, ONLY THE ADDRESS could be put on the back, and any written message had to be done on the front of the postcard.These types of postcards are collector items because of their age, and because of the limited number of such postcards in existence today.Also, collectors like to own postcards that were published in the beginning years of the postcard hobby.

These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector.The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear due to their age (over 100 years old!).The photos show the postcards and their backs.
