This is a nice SET of PATRIOTIC antique postcards from the very early 1900s. They were published for GREETINGS as well as BEST WISHES, and they could have been used for Fourth Of July celebrations. The postcards are colorful with USA patriotic symbols, as well as a child that is wearing a colonial hat. These postcards are EMBOSSED and they have GOLD TRIM in the design. They have a copyright of 1907, and they were published by The Rose Company.

The publisher of these postcards is The Rose Company (1906-1909, Philadelphia, PA) who produced a wide range of lithographic cards from views to portraits of actors and opera stars, patriotic themes, novelties, and even early baseball cards.They were best known in their day for holiday postcards and made many Embossed and HEAVY EMBOSSED (with an extra sheet on the back) postcards that were highly admired by collectors.Their trademark logo incorporates the initials “T R C”.As a firm, they had a short life, and their postcards are sought after by collectors.

The postcards have nice patriotic messages. Also, in one postcard the child is playing with firecrackers, and in the other he is lighting a cannon. There is a nice red, white, and blue pattern to the design. These arecollector itemsbecause of their age, their colorful design, and their overall appeal to those collecting Patriotic antique postcards. They also have a nice glimpse of life back in that era.

The postcards are UNPOSTED (1) and POSTED (1) with a cancel date of 1915. These postcards have DIVIDED backs. These postcards were probably "Made in USA".

These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector.The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear due to their age (over 100 years old!).The photos show the postcards and their backs.
