SCARCE ANTIQUE DEEP FRET BOW SAW LEAVITT PATENT 1870 SORRENTO WOODCARVING CO
Rare saw. It\'s a deep cut fret/bow saw. It\'s 22\" tall and takes a 5-1/2\" blade. There is no blade included. The patentee is Thomas Leavitt. It\'s got a December 13th 1870 patent marked on the center cross section. The side is marked Sorrento Wood Carving co and other side is marked Temple Place Boston. They are a little hard to read. See pics. The saw is solid but does have some flaws. It needs a blade, the top stretcher is bent, small chip on very top where stretcher attaches, and the middle section has small partial gabs near cross section but it\'s holding solid. Adding a blade might make those dissappear. See pics for best description. Comes as seen in pics. Any questions just ask. Nice rare saw!
