here is a old turn of the century and hard to find \"SARGENT & CO. NEW HAVEN CONN\" \"100 CR\" \"PAT. JUNE 5 1900\" 24\" x 16\" Carpenter\'s Framing & Rafter Square being sold as is as found. this old square has condition issues from age and usage as you can see from pictures. has all original patina and has wear to squares original ox blood red paint and dark off white painted lines and numbers. there are areas that show its original paint nicely and other areas where it is worn down to the steel or having blackish marks on it from use. has scratches, chipped or worn off paint, a few areas of the faintest signs of oxidation near ends ect. there are impressed line notches from the manufacturing of the square starting half way through the ends presumably from being stamped but the straight thin notches disappear the more you move down to square end on both sides. you can visibly see these notches when looking at the square from it\'s thickness points. please view all pics with zoom magnification to see the patent date and makers hallmarks which are in white paint. I could not find any comps or photographs of this old square online anywhere, being sold to the collector of old turn of the century tools, or for restoring / refinishing. please view all pics and read full item condition.
