SovietArmy Pilotka Side Cap, High QualityREPRODUCTION in Size 60 (Extra Large, approximately US size 7 ½).

Thesepilotkas are currently made in Russia using the same machinery and methods asthe Soviet originals. The fabric of the outer shell is also very similar towhat was used during the Soviet era, appears to be either 100% cotton or at thevery least mostly cotton with minimal synthetic additive. This pilotka looks100% correct and will be SUPERB for either WW2 or Cold War Sovietreenactment, a sensible alternative to using a scarce and far more priceyoriginal item.

The 100% cotton liner is correct and just likethe originals, it has a sweat band in ersatz leather. The stitching is of goodquality, sound and true - not like typical cheap copies coming from China orPakistan. The manufacturer even put some convincing looking \"Soviet\"factory stamp on the liner to make this pilotka look like one made in USSR inthe 80s. The pilotka comes complete with a reproduction aluminum hat badge. Please note that the pilotka will be shipped with the badgealready attached (it can be easily removed and put back on the cap as desired,since it has bendable attachment prongs.)

This copy is distinguishable from the true Sovietpiece only at close inspection, and only to a trained eye. It is in fact sowell-made that it will easily fool most people, and we are now seeing themoffered for sale as originals (the sellers usually avoid showing the inside ofthe pilotka).
