This early card is one in a seriesof120 cards issuedin Canada bythe NEILSONChocolate Company of Canada.One was insertedinto each packageofNEILSONS Chocolate Bars.They are listedas V63inBurdick’s American Card Catalogue, they are entitled“MovieActors and Actress”.Although no guide that I know of provides adate of issue, I have always assume it to be some time in the mid1920’sdue to the film actors featuredand most other cardsissuedby Nielson’s were issuedduring this time with confirmeddatesof issue. The series is numbered 1-120Each card features ablack and whitetonedphotographic image of a Silent MovieActor or Actress (the same images used in the American Caramel Co’s E123 seriesissued in the USA). The front names the actor and the name of the film andstudio they are playing in.The back of the cardfeatures advertising for Nielsons Chocolate Bars and also states that there are120 cards in the series.
