Thankyou for visiting the Sandbag and Lamp Veterans Shop. Over the last 3 years, ourOath of Allegiance frames have been dispatched to British military veterans allover the world and we even have one hanging in Buckingham Palace Mews. EachOath is handmadein its entirety - we build our own high quality boxframes, cut our own mountboard anduse only official MOD licensed CapBadges. With crisp, clear print on specialist high-quality textured paper, weinsert the name and enlistment details to make the Oath truly personal to youor the recipient of the gift. This is finished off with a gleaming,hand-polished shilling and the unit stable belt colours. Finally we use aelegant facsimile in the style of the Monarch’s signature. The overall size ofthe frame is 30cm x 40cm.

TheSovereign\'s shilling, sometimes called the King or Queen\'s shilling, is anhistorical slang term referring to the payment of one shilling given torecruits to the Armed forces in the 18th and 19th centuries, although thepractice dates back to the end of the English Civil War. To \"take theshilling\" was to agree to serve as a sailor or soldier in the Royal Navyor the British Army and the term is still used informally.

Pleaseremember that eachOath is hand made to order by a military veteran, fromthe frame to the ribbon to the hand polished shilling. Making an Oath for afellow brother or sister is our pleasure and that is why they look sogood -quality takes time.

DispatchTimes

Wetry to dispatch all our Oaths within 15 -20workingdaysor around 4 weeks so please allow at least thattime to pass before contacting us for delivery updates.At busytimes like Father\'s Day and Christmas, things can take longer so please orderearly.Each Oath is individually handmade, they are not mass produced. Wesometimes need to order in Cap Badges for units that no longer exist so pleasebear in mind this can delay production.Along with everyone else, we arealso being affected by COVID from delays by suppliers to who can come in towork. We therefore ask you to be patient and thank you for yourunderstanding.If you need your Oathfor a particular date please order early and speak to us about the deliverydate.

Returns

EachOath is handmade to order and packaged as carefully as we can. They all leavehere in perfect order but if you receive yours and it has been damaged intransit or there is a problem with it, we will do our best to sort it out.Please just get in touch and send us a photo of the damaged item. For damageditems, if it needs replacing, or you want a refund we will agree that with youbutdepending on the issue you will need to return either the full frameorthe metal badge and coin or just the coin to us. Please send it trackedmail and we will refund you up to the cost of 2nd class tracked and signed forpost based on Royal Mail prices. If we are correcting an error made by you whenyou\'ve ordered, we may ask you to purchase additional postage to cover the costof returning the corrected item to you.

Ifthe item is in good order and there is no mistake then we don\'t offer a refundas the Oath has been made specifically for you and cannot be used elsewhere.However, we will always do our best to help so if you do have any concerns,please just get in touch.
