Here are two pretty little bowls of fine bone china produced in England by Royal Chelsea in the “4193A” pattern. This sweet pair of individual open sugar bowls could also serve condiments and jellies. The shiny white background is decorated with a single big red rose on two of three sides and leaves on the other third. There\'s a big red blossom on the inside bottom. The foot of each is trimmed in thick gold, as is the top edge. Also, a band of green leaves circle the inside.Each one measures 1 7/8” tall with a 3 ¼” top diameter and 1 5/8” foot diameter.The condition of both is excellent with no chips, cracks, crazing or scratches. The gold trim on top and bottom shows zero wear.The backstamp with anchor logo reads “Royal Chelsea, English Bone China, Made in England” in green overlay is the pattern number “4139A” and by the logo the letter “K”.The Royal Chelsea china company closed in the 1960s and was known for quality and outstanding workmanship. I estimate these two were produced in the 50s or 60s.Thanks for looking.
