This is the famous leather G1 camp. David Presidential jacket. Authentic versions of these jackets are almost impossible to acquire. Presidents have for the most part reserved these jackets for visiting heads of state.

This jacket belonged to former Ambassador Charles H Price II. Who was a personal friend of President Reagan's since the 1970s.

In1981, President Reagan named Price ambassador to Belgium. Two years later,Price moved from Brussels to London to become ambassador to Britain, a post heheld until the end of Reagan's second term in 1989.Pricewas credited with contributing to the friendly relationship between Reagan andThatcher, both of whom he counted as friends.In the 1970s, he met Reagan at a New Year's Eveparty thrown by publishing magnate Walter Annenberg and his wife, Lee.

"What clicked the most between my husband andRonald Reagan was their sense of humor," Price's wife, Carol, told theKansas City Star in 2004.When Reagan offered to make his fellow Republicanan ambassador, Price later recalled, he thought, "If I'm going to undertakean adventure, this was probably a good time."In a statement released upon the death ofAmbassador Price, former First Lady Nancy Reagan called the Prices closefriends who were "extraordinary" hosts when the Reagans traveled toEngland on state visits. She said she would "miss Charlie's good humor,his generosity and great stories."

The jacket is made by Ralph Edwards sports gear Incorporated. The jacket bears the military label which states the size 48 and the military order number.

The jacket has the correct Camp David presidential seal two piece patch which was used during President Reagan's term as president.

The condition of the jacket is excellent with little to know wear. The leather name badge with Ambassador Prices name

Has faded over the years.

The size 48 equates to a large.

I normally wear a large and this jacket fits me perfectly.
