This is a used marble Roman Catholic altar stone with grey veining in excellent condition. It came from a Catholic church that was closed. According to church teaching, each altar stone must contain at least two ex ossibus relics, and one must be from a martyr. I do not know the identities of the saints whose ex ossibus relics are contained in this altar stone.
The altar stone is in excellent condition. It has five beveled crosses on the upper side along with a space which contains the relics. The stone is 13\" tall by 11\" wide by 3/4\" thick. The upper part of the stone is highly polished with very attractive gray veining. The black covering that seals in the relics is 1\" x 1\". The sides and lower part of the stone are not polished.
